Mary Annette's Story
After graduation, I worked as a cosemetologist until I married the first time in 81, to my first husband Doug Groll. We moved to California for 3 years and then to Guam for 3 years. While on Guam, Doug was killed in a helicopter accident and I moved back to Mesa Arizona and attended ASU, graduating in 1992 with a teaching degree in Special Education. ing here at the high school going on 15 years. I remarried in 1997 to a West Point grad, Udo Lutes. We have adopted 3 children who were in our home as foster children. Life is awesome. Art was my favorite class, Mrs. Simpkins was the teacher. The teacher I had the most struggles with was Ms. Roberge the PE teacher. I had Mr. Dunn for Algebra and had to face him again at MCC years later.......
